Honor, Dignity, & Wrath

Picture
“Honor, Dignity, and Wrath” represents my great grandparents’ life journey through the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. Oil was discovered on their Oklahoma farm and they had had a brief taste of prosperity but then the well ran dry at the same time all of their money, saved and invested, was lost during the Great Depression. To survive they became migrant workers (Okies) in California.

Winner, Best Pictorial Quilt at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival 2022
